Pilates Method Alliance

The Pilates Method Alliance Certification is one of several certificates available. It is an international certification that meets rigorous professional standards.

The goal is to have uniformly high quality certified instructors of the Pilates method.

The PMA is a non profit professional organization. They strive to protect the public by establishing both certification and continuing education standards in the Pilates instruction profession.

PMA certified trainers have the opportunity to attend the annual PMA International Educational Conference. There are classes and workshops on exercises and equipment.

Also available are business supports such as information about running a Pilates studio, or working with medical concerns.

PMA is seeking to support and promote Pilates Professionals.  A fitness instructor who passes the certification with PMA can become a member for $150 per year. The Alliance will support and promote the instructor while maintaining the high standards of Joseph Pilates.
